What Preschoolers Will Love about the Oklahoma City Zoo
There’s so much to see and do at the Oklahoma City Zoo that it’s almost impossible to cover everything in a day. From the Great EscAPE, where preschoolers can visit the gorillas, orangutans, and chimpanzees to the handsome wildcats of the CatForest, the Oklahoma City Zoo entices visitors with beautiful scenery and natural animal habitats. Other exhibits include Aquaticus, home to fascinating marine life, and the exotic Island Life exhibit.
Preschoolers receive special attention at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Themed hands-on activities including crafts, singing, and interaction with zoo animals are included in the zoo’s special preschool-aged programs. Online registration is easy and discounts are available for zoo members.
In addition to the Oklahoma City Zoo’s exhibits and special programs, preschoolers will love the new features at the Oklahoma City Zoo. These include the Centennial Choo Choo, an 1863 train replica that provides guided tours of the zoo, and a 30,000 square foot Jungle Gym where preschoolers can romp and play.
Parents will appreciate the shady lakeside picnic areas, where zoo visitors can relax between exhibits while enjoying a bite to eat. Pack a picnic basket or purchase meals and snacks from the food court. Restrooms, site maps, and souvenir shops are conveniently dotted throughout the zoo.
